fibroid-disintegration

Family physicians commonly encounter patients with symptomatic uterine fibroids and, because more patients desire uterine-conserving treatments, family physicians should be familiar with them. UFE, a relatively new, nonsurgical treatment for women with uterine fibroids, is performed by interventional radiologists. Gynecologists are performing a variety of other uterine-sparing treatments in women with symptomatic uterine fibroids, including myomectomy, myolysis hysteroscopic resection and endometrial ablation.
